Reverend Lon Calvin Whitfield D.D. was licensed and ordained in 1980 under the ministry of Bishop Nicolas Williams PhD of the Faithway Church of Christ Brooklyn New York and Dean of the Faithway Bible Institute. Dr. Whitfield became an Ordained Baptist Minister under the care and leadership of (the late) Reverend Dr. Kelmo C. Porter and the St. Johns Baptist Church of Scotch Plains, NJ benefiting from his 50 plus years in ministry. Reverend Dr. Whitfield is the founder of The Fellowship Community Foundation of West Orange New Jersey. Pastor Whitfield has served in this capacity for the last 10 years has been an integral part of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in the West Orange New Jersey area. In addition to preaching in witnessing to the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ’s Pastor Whitfield and The Fellowship Foundation has been effective resource in addressing the physical and social needs of the community. Consistently pastor Whitfield and The Fellowship Foundation has provided food baskets for the needy, crisis intervention services and family conflict resolution as well as grants and scholarships for deserving college students.
